Needed to organize and store my wine. This rack was super easy to assemble and put together. I will buy another as needed.Disappointing. I've been putting together furniture for years, but this one defeated me. Unlike more modern designs which limit themselves to screws and dowels, this requires the consumer to hammer in finishing nails and then countersink them. Firstly, hammering nails without dinging the wood requires lots of practice. Secondly, how many consumers these days have a nail set? This is the first time I've needed such a thing since I moved out of my parents' house, decades ago.The finished produce was rickety and out of square because of the lack of guides (like dowels or pre-drilled holes) and the fact that the design depends on the top to provide the bracing since there are no side braces. I'll be taking the top off this weekend and attempting to get it back into true - wish me luck.I was also unhappy with the look of the wood. The pictures make the unfinished redwood look like it's been chosen to have a consistent color. The wood in the piece I received was a mixture of heartwood(reddish) and sapwood(cream colored), which results in a striped look that is far less attractive than the picture. Had I known they weren't going to use top quality heartwood, I would have chosen a finished version of the product - which I would have then nicked up while trying to hammer in the nails. Lose-lose.Unless you are an experienced woodworker, I do not recommend this item.Way too expensive. Not worth the price given the poor workmanship; all screw holes appear to have been countersunk with the chuck of the drill that drilled the holes. Assembly instructions are not clear and can result in having to dismantle it in order to assemble it correctly. Distinction between a tapered end to the horizontal wine bottle supports and a square cut end not made clear enough. Not for anyone who lacks assembly skills: a friend would help.Looks nice, went together easy enough. Only reason for 3 stars is the top board has a warp to it.just what I was looking for.good product, but took lot of work and time to assembleSolid value, nice looking and solid. Assembly takes about an hour.. mostGood wine rack! Might get another one.
