Along the way, Dolin introduces a rich cast of unlikely heroes, and forces us to reckon with the reality that future storms will likely be worse, unless we reimagine our relationship with the planet. 103 black-and-white illustrations; 8 pages of color illustrations

Another well-researched and enthralling historical non-fiction book by Eric Jay Dolin. Anyone who has ever lived in hurricane prone area or anyone interested in weather phenomenon will enjoy this book. Mr Dolin also concludes his book by discussing the potential of climate change to promote development for even more deadly hurricanes than we’ve seen in the past—quite sobering!
