I purchased this extension cord for a quick go to inside/outside cord. It's a great investment, I use it in the house, all over the yard, drag it around and don't worry about the cord cover. At 50' you have to make sure you wind it up every time you use it. I'm going to purchase these cords anytime I need more coverage or to use multiples at the same time.it is strong and sturdy, love the end cord lights up when plugged in knowing its live and on. Plus made in USA!Wow, this cord is a beast. It appears to be very well constructed, I have no doubt it will last a long time and supply generous current.Pricy but reliableExcellent Quality and handles the abuse of many regular users. YES, I would buy this again. I have used this cord as power tool cord UPGRADE and attached it to the tool, after I wore out the cord. Then you often do NOT need an extension cord of LOWER value...!!! Many cords are 16 or cheaper gauge...This thing is serious. Extremely thick and heavy. The plug ends are lighted. Feels like it can withstand anything and gives me peace of mind when charging my electric car. This cord is thicker than the cord of the actual charger that came with the car.Wish I bought the 50ft, is my only complaint. Great product!No complaints, best extension cord I've owned - much better than the old orange ones.I got this to use with a 12A EVSE to charge an electric car. The EV manufacturer advised against extension cords, but I could not get my car physically close enough to an outlet to charge without an extension, so I looked for what appeared to be the burliest 12/3 25' cord I could find. When uncoiled, the cord did not get even warm, even with a continuous 12A draw over a period of 12+ hours. Lesser loads over shorter periods of time should be no problem at all. For something rather critical like a high current AC cord, I prefer to buy a cord made in the US or Canada over one made in China. This is one product I need to feel safe with. I'd buy another Southwire cord without hesitation.Very satisfactory buying experience with Amazon, as usual: proper packaging, prompt delivery, product as described. I haven't used it yet, but it looks sturdy and well built. It's 12/3 gauge is exactly what I need to use with larger porwer tools in my yard.I recommend it.Update July 26, 2014: used the item on many occasions now, powering larger shop tools with no problem. Material is supple, connectors of good quality. Very satifactory overall. Definetely recommends.A little pricey, but an excellent cord. I couldn't find anything of this quality in my local shops.I needed a tough and thick gauge extension cord in order to charge my 2017 Chevy Volt. It works great, holds up to rain and snow. Even after 12 hours at 1400 watts, it remains cool to the touch. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs an extension cord for their 120v EV charger.Perfect. Great in cold weather. Able to handle draw of heavy duty block heater without having the female end of the plug overheating
