I enjoyed the history and images, but when I got to the end, there was a thud. No epilogue, no index, no current map, no appendix that listed all parks in order of creation, no info about the river parkways, nothing about the Oak Leaf Trail, nor any listing of all 15 golf courses with their dates of establishment and historic tournaments. In addition, it would have been nice to read a little more about the CCC and development of Boerner Botanic Garden, perhaps in a separate chapter. I suspect there are more recent images available, and an effort to have retired employees, staff or patrons donate them would have brought the history detailed in the book up to the date of the system's 100th anniversary.
