Upfront disclaimer: I have been a Caffe Lena member, advertiser, board member, and longtime supporter.These 3 cds really capture the loving spirit and incredible music that has been played at the Caffe for 5 decades.It can only hold a maximum of about 80 people, but if you (or me) weren't lucky enough to have been there for performances by the likes of Frank Wakefield, David Bromberg, Mississippi John Hurt, Rick Danko, and on and on, this cd set will still satisfy. The sound is really great, and the accompanying booklet and photos are great too. If you like "folk" music (and as Louis Armstrong said, "all music is folk music. I never heard a horse sing") buy this set! And the proceeds are going to keep the flame alive here in Saratoga Springs and keep Lena's memory alive.
