I’ve read quite few of the recent books on the Trump administration and didn’t see much point in reading another. I didn’t anticipate any new information and there wasn’t much new on Trump. But this book approaches the daily Trump dose of shock and disgust from a different perspective, ties it to history of the Civil Rights movement and wartime media coverage among other things. I learned quite a bit and came away with a better understanding of history and how we got here. Ms. Reid is a skilled and knowledgeable writer, no gossip, no hyperbole. She comes across as straight forward and trustworthy. I’m glad I read it. Even if you think you’ve had your fill of books on Trump this book is worth your time.
