It arrived on schedule - yay!The cardboard box had all edges and corners reinforced with hard cardboard edges, was then wrapped thoroughly in large bubble wrap and finally had a few layers of plastic wrap all around, so they did a GREAT job of preventing any damage in the shipping process. As expected, when I finally cut through everything to open it up, it was completely damage free. This is always a good start.The headboard is lovely, with nice stitching, and the crystal tuft accents look great. I wanted something with the look of leather that is easy to clean, since a white fabric headboard would get dusty/dirty fairly easily. The leatherette look is great and it's a fraction of the cost of real leather. The crystal tuft accents seem to be attached well, and they are not loose when you wiggle them. The back of the headboard is covered in a plain black fabric, so it looks cleaner than bare materials with stapled fabric, etc.After scratching my head for a minute, I realized that the mounting legs were stored hidden in a velcro pouch built into the back of the headboard. This is a nice feature if you want a wall-mounted headboard, but still keep the legs if you change your mind. The mounting legs look a little cheap, with the leatherette just stapled around the legs in the back, but I guess there's less need for those to look fancy from all angles. They look fine from the front. A sticker on each leg labels the lower front side to help with orientation when attaching to the headboard. Attaching was pretty easy, but you do have to crank down on the bolt to get it to catch the threading at the start. Not all the holes line up perfectly or the fabric slightly gets in the way, so just push a little and it'll get there just fine. It was a bit of a bear to attach the legs to the bed frame, as the screw nut requires quite a bit of coordination and small hands to tighten all the way. It would have been easier to attach to the frame without the mattress/box springs, but it wasn't impossible.All in all, it's a fantastic, beautiful, and inexpensive headboard for our guest bedroom that arrived on schedule and completely damage free. That's a win in anyone's book!
