Delivery was spectacular, couch was double boxed for protection, the assembly is listed as EASY on the instructions . Probably took me an hour to assemble, other reviews were very helpful as to needing a drill for starter holes and an electric or rachet screwdriver. All in all there are 5 pieces that have to be assembled, 2 back legs, arched chrome front leg you see pictured and 2 pads to attach to each side of the bottom.If you are taller than 5'3" your feet will hang over the side, and the way the bottom base is constructed you would probably want to put it against the wall rather than in the middle of the room, the futon is exactly as pictured, my wife says very comfortable to sit/lay on . It does sit low to the floor as stated
